A lazy morning after a hectic BBQ yesterday and some time to spend on updating my Art Journal on ’60 Things to do or Experience before I’m 69¾‘s’

I have been collecting memento’s and photos of challenges I have completed since my birthday earlier this year but somehow couldn’t get started onto entering them in to my superby crafted book given as a present by my textile friend Rosie Smee. An amazing present which I absolutely love!!

In order to do the cover justice I have experimented with watercolour finishes on the pages, providing a different background on each double page on which to display my memento’s and photos. I have also added some stickers from meandmybigideas.com to add an additional flourish to the page.

I am enjoying creating a journal of my experiences as it is a fun and relaxing way to record my experiences and achievements. Today I have been looking at ‘Ladies Day at Cheltenham Races’ and ‘The Chelsea Flower Show’, two things I had always wanted to do, but until this year had never had the opportunity as these never tied in with a working life in education.

Working onthe journal has reminded me that unless you plan in your challenges, times flies and will you actually achieve your goals, so back to my new ‘Happy Planner’ meandmybigideas.com
