Well, its been a week on so since my last post and I have to say its been a busy one! I really enjoyed a lovely week in Italy; seeing the sights, enjoying the hotel and making plans for my return. Inspired by some lovely Italian decor and furnishings, I knew I had to make a plan to get my home sorted!!!

Well, what does that involve, primarily clearing a lot of possessions, twenty years of working full time didn’t do me any favours in being a minimalist and I seem to have inheirited this ‘gene’ for storing clutter, after all “I really need it to…” and I can probably give you a really semsible answer as to what it might come in useful for!!!
On my return, once the washing was sorted I put my plan into action – to rearrange the lounge and dining rooms.

Sounds easy until; ones actually tries to move the furniture – display cupboards and large bookcases which first has to be emptied of their long standing possessions.

Well, Sunday was the day to put the plan into action, the furniture was eventually rearranged in a pleasing manner by the end of the day and a very large cupboard removed creating a lightness to the dining room.

Successful, you might say, until you look down the hall and into the kitchen – how could so much stuff be without a home? It looks like we have been ramsacked!!
All week in between starting my new workshops and classes Iand taking my mum out, I have been trying to organise and sort it- and there lies the problem because I have been told this is fatal, you should just get rid!!!

So many lessons I still need to learn, but in my defence I have managed to take six chairs and some glassware to the auction house…. I believe the term is work in progress
